Dear Parents, 

          Just a few reminders for the school year. Every Friday green folders will be going home. They will be filled with graded work, notes and forms from the office, and lunch menus and sign ups. Please look for them every Friday and send back the empty folder on Monday. If your child takes home a red folder this means there is homework worksheets in there and they will need to return them the next day. Weekly homework will include a sentence test, spelling test (2^nd) and memory verse.

          No school on Monday for Labor Day. Enjoy the day with your families.

          School pictures are on September 15. Be prepared to smile!

          Family Fun Night is coming up. I am looking forward to a fun evening of games, food, and fellowship. Feel free to bring friends to check out the school or to just have a fun family evening. More details to come. If there are anyways you can offer your gifts or talents please let me or Coby Wells know so we can find a perfect place for you to volunteer.

          Book Orders were sent home for the month. There is absolutely no obligation to order books. But, for every order placed online our class would receive one free book.

          The 2nd grade spelling test and the 1^st/2^nd memory verse will be on Friday. Sentence test for both grades will be on Thursday. Please be going over the sentence test, memory verse, and spelling test at home. As always keep reading at home. J You can never be reading enough with your kids. Other ways to be working at home is to practice and quiz spelling words. Being able to write out thoughts is an important part of there learning.
